I hear so much about how unfair the superdelegate system is. They say that the voters don't get to decide. Tell me this, why aren't these same people complaining about how one candidate can win the popular vote in a particular state and still lose delegates? Is this fair?
We know that the Bushies are too entrenched in the pockets of big oil to care, but it will only be a matter of time before this issue finds its way into the front of the public's thoughts.
Republican Richard Burr and Democrat Erskine Bowles are locked in a dead heat.
According to the latest Voters' Voice Poll for WRAL-TV, The News and Observer and WUNC-FM, 46 percent will choose Bowles, 47 percent will choose Burr and 7% are undecided.
"We expected it to be tight," Bowles said. "Look, this race will be decided by a couple thousand votes here or there."
"I think a lot of the North Carolina Senate race will depend on turnout, the level of turnout and where that comes from," Burr said.
